Ethiopian to acquire 12 A350s and five 777-200LRs

Ethiopian Airlines is to order 12 Airbus A350-900s and five Boeing 777-200LRs.

The carrier has detailed the order in a statement, adding that chief executive Girma Wake has signed a “definitive agreement” to purchase the 777s and a memorandum of understanding for the A350s.

Ethiopian says deliveries of the A350s will begin in 2017, and those for the 777s in October 2010.
