Yesterday’s Sunday Times travel section:
In-flight purchases on Ryanair can be made in £ or €
Apparently, you can ask for your change in either currency.
So, a cup of coffee is £3 or €3, your choice. Pay with a €50 note (equivalent £42, approx) and ask for your change in Sterling, pocket £47.
This means you have made a profit of £5 plus a cup of delicious coffee.
I wonder how many cups you can down per flight? (Probably explains the recent ‘pay per pee’ saga)
