Having seen the £1500 5 string Musicman Stingray bass I had a few years ago get thrown around at Lisbon airport, I’d like to buy the guy who wrote this several very large beers! I try not to even look at them loading the plane when I fly with my bass now. It’s too painful to watch!

I’ve only ever taken a guitar on a flight once, and made sure it came on board with me. The cabin crew were happy to stow it in their crew locker at the rear of the cabin. A BAe ATP as I recall…
