NCL – LHR BA B747

Well looks like the Media has done another great job of ensuring their facts are correct:

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/news/north-east-news/2009/07/12/ba-flight-hit-by-technical-problem-at-newcastle-airport-79310-24131703/

and just to correct them on another point there were at least 2 members of staff on the BA Ticket/Customer Service Desk with more members of staff floating about answering questions, i know this because i was one of those members of staff!!

And, lack of communication???? passengers were updated on an hourly basis!!

Another non event.
Its just a stupid sob story for the credit manager who missed her connecting flight. I wonder if the thought ever crossed her mind that if the plane departed with the fault she may of still missed the connecting flight anyway? 😉

I can see the problem straight away… the passengers were on a 747, which means that they had already travelled to LHR without realising it – such is the magic of BA travel. You know what the next similar report will be:

Passengers were aboard the blue-tailed 737-200 for several hours before they were informed that they were on the wrong side of Newcastle airport on an aircraft with no engines….

Passengers were disgusted to find that the terminal building was closed on arrival at Newcastle airport. The 1930’s built art-deco terminal has been cited as a state of the art facility… etc etc…
