Hello,
I am not able to have Fs9 starting with the aircraft in a parking aera with the engine stopped,instead of on the tarmac ready to fly.

Freeware airport scenery Mach 1 ( Good on frame rates american airports only)
World of AI= Real world airlines and flightplans it features an all in one installer so you get the aircraft and the routes they fly.= http://www.world-of-ai.com/
World freeware scenery= http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.php
Great free rendition of Boston Logan by George Grimshaw=http://www.flytampa.org/

Hi Matt
Depending on your computer specifications the reason FSX is unplayable on your pc is because the latest incarnation of flight simulator is a major rescource hog which will squeeze the life out of most pc’s. Even the latest spec machines struggle with it.
If you can run FS2004 reasonably I would stick with that, there are plenty of downloads free and payware to bring FS2004 upto a standard comparable with FSX without the slide show FSX produces.

When you click on location to start, go to the bottom left and it’ll give you options where to start off.
