Cebu Pacific said it plans to buy 15 Airbus A320 aircraft and is also studying whether it should order five more.
At 20 aircraft, the total investment required would reach $1.3 billion, the company said in a press release.
Delivery of the 180-seat aircraft will be from October 2010 to November 2013.
Currently, the company has bought 12 A320 Family aircraft and leased nine others from the European manufacturer Airbus.
The budget airline operates flights to 32 domestic destinations and 15 cities in other Asian countries.

European planemaker Airbus says low-cost airline Air Asia has ordered 10 A350-900 jets and placed options for five more.
Airbus CEO Tom Enders and Air Asia’s CEO Tony Fernandes announced the deal at the air show Tuesday.
The list price for the 10 jets would be $2.4 billion. Airlines often negotiate substantial discounts to catalog prices, particularly in tough economic times.
Air Asia is based in Kuala Lumpur.

European manufacturer Airbus has hired Goodrich Corp. to provide cabin-attendant seats for the new A350 XWB aircraft.
The contract is expected to generate $100 million in original equipment and aftermarket revenue.
Under the agreement, Goodrich cabin attendant seats will be installed on on all Airbus aircraft.

European planemaker Airbus says Vietnam Airlines has ordered 16 Airbus A321 jets and pledged to buy two more A350-XWB planes.
Vietnam Airlines made a firm order for 16 A321 planes and signed a memorandum of understanding for two of the A350-XWB, which underwent a costly redesign to help it compete with Boeing’s successful 787.
The cost of the deal was not announced.
