Heads up for the Heathrow Snappers.

Hi all,

I have just returned from a job at Heathrow, and on the way back home took a detour around by the BA west base to see what (if anything) was parked up there.

Glad I did… G-GFFG is on the ground in Aeroflot Nord Livery. Obviously awaiting delivery. Its parked right near the fence (more or less where the trident used to be parked) and there is a good gap to obtain shots (sadly i didnt have any camera with me today).

Hope to return tomorrow with some pics (if its still in town!)

Best of luck if you decide to venture out to bag it. 🙂

Yep – sucks doesn’t it – just got back myself and with no pictures! 🙁

The one parked where the concorde used to be parked is now in new reg – VP-BXN (former G-GFFF). Rudder missing and both engine are currenly taped over.

G-GFFF also in at LHR Apparently. 🙂

Yes, I’ve just got back. One is parked on near where concorde used to be parked, outside the hanger near the jury inn. This one will probably be about for a few days because it doesn’t have a rudder attached.

The other is parked facing the road flanked by a couple of A321s on the street down towards the runway crossing.

As far as I can tell, neither can be photographed. They are both parked behind that very tightly woven metal fencing that they seem to like to much at LHR – a real shame!

Nice to see you back around, Ben – hadn’t seen you on here for ages until recently!:)

To answer your question, yes, I believe they are all leaving when their leases run out. Some of the older A319s are being cascaded to LGW from LHR, I think.

Thanks for the info, and thanks, ive been a bit..umm..sidetracked in recent months. 🙂

Are all 735’s of BA going? flown on all of them except G-GFFC. sad to see them go. 🙁

Yes , most of them are going through Glasgow for end of lease checks , then on to LHR for painting, there might be a couple getting their end of lease checks at LHR

Nice info. Glad to see that the 737-500s are finally going !! (should add from a customer/passenger point of view, rather than with my photographer hat on)
