"Feed the Tower" – Those involved risk dismissal

Hello,

Well as I’m sure a significant number of people watched this video on YouTube (it was posted on this forum), but those higher up the chain aren’t seeing it as a bit of fun – all involved are all up for dismissal (including people rather high up).

The participants broke various rules (which I wont post on here for obvious reasons – those of you who would like to know, feel free to PM me) including both aerodrome and company procedures.

Looks like a bit of good old fashioned high jinks gone t*ts up. I suspect putting it on You-Tube was their undoing, perhaps someone did it ‘for them’…

The thing about ‘high jinks’ is not to get caught doing it and probably not a good idea to film yourself doing it either. Silly boys !!!

It’s supposed to be heathrow, i’m fairly sure it was actually filmed there.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be available any more. It was on YouTube, but appears to have been removed (understandably)

Are you able to post the link? Is the video still up? If you can’t post it, could you PM me it please? Any idea which BAA airport?

The video was a parody of band aid’s “feed the world” and was very funny…

But while I was watching it I was thinking to myself “how did they get permission to film some of those airside shots?”. I presume this is where the problem lies? It featured a BAA security vehicle messing about on the taxiway (and possibly the runway… I can’t really remember) – i suspect it has less to do with the parody and the fact that it was recorded and broadcast, but rather what there were pictured doing… even if it hadn’t been recorded I expect they would have been in trouble if someone had seen…

While I was watching it I assumed it was actually trick photography and that it was shot in a car park somewhere, but perhaps not…

B77W please PM me to let me know if I’m on the right tracks

For those of us who missed this video: What is it all about? What did they do thats warranting such condemnation.

thatd be unfair if that were to happen. Yeh i appreciate they have a job that requires more concentration than almost any other and that they have to be very responsible etc etc…but working 365 days a year, and not allowed a let up of a couple of hours to lighten the mood in the work place?
