I think my wife’s an aircraft enthusiast but wont admit it

A bit of a strange day in the whole, woke up to a heavy blanket of snow, great this means the road will be heaving, anyway after trying to get to Preston in a record braking 3 hours from Manchester the mobile rings. The significant other in a breathless fashion spurts out. “ What plane has a funny front and two tail things at the rear, she then carried on trying to give me more of a detailed description (in the then bright sunny conditions) I ran to the study grabbed your binoculars’ and had a look, also she spurted it had a number on the back”

I replied in saying that it’s the Airbus transporter and so on, phone call ended. I then was perplexed by all this, never has she shown much interest in aircraft, gives me a strange look when watching the Discovery channels on anything related to aviation, doesn’t care what plane we fly on as long as it gets you there, and here bang out of the blue she has stating taking notice.

All in all a very strange day, I guess she just doesn’t want to show how much of an interest she really has? Just thought I would share this bizarre experience with you lot.

Rgds

My wife demanded her own DSLR camera for spotting after she got interested into the subject.

The only planes she says she knows 100% of the time are the A-10 and SR-71.

And we get to see loads of those over here in the UK don’t we…:p:rolleyes:

My wife makes a good effort to help me out when she sees something and I’m not with her. She sometimes surprises me with a good guess.

Then…there are other times when she calls everything a DC-3, Spitfire or a B-17.

The only planes she says she knows 100% of the time are the A-10 and SR-71.
