XL Fleet Question?

Hi all,

Sorry to bring up this subject again, but I have a quick question…

Whilst watching the BBC News yesterday I saw a report on EasyJets profits having fallen by almost 50%, and within the report there was an aerial shot of a place where there were lots of XL aircraft and a Zoom 757 currently in storage.

The reporter said ‘At this aircraft storage facility in Hampshire’…does anyone have an idea as to where in Hampshire this place actually is?

Is it somewhere that can be easily accessed and is it any good for photography?

I found it a bit odd that one of the (ex) top guys at Zoom UK is looking to start up a business taking over some of the services offered by XL UK (AW, recent issue). My first thoughts were that if the services could be economically run, then why didn’t XL scrap other routes and keep operating those.

I’m not a ‘business minded’ person though, so it probably all makes sense somehow 🙂

Yeah, that would be Lasham. I think there may be a few spots where you can shoot through the fence down there, but nothing worth making a trip over for. Probably msot aircraft tucked away with a lot of foreground clutter.

Some photos from someone who mananged to get airside: http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1434

I think it’s Lasham. Not sure if it’s easy for Photography or not.
