Flight Sim Multiplayer

I know this might sound like a daft question, but does anybody know if you can go on multiplayer with someone who has a different version of fs. For example if someone had fs2004 and another person had fs2002 could they go on multiplayer together?

FS host supports both 2002 and 2004. The best bet is to download FShost spy: http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshostspy/

simply put yes, using vatsim or sbrelay both are capable of running the two together. Not sure about FShost can;t remember. And the other sim networks i have never tried.
