Hello Everyone
Question for you all: who owns Southend Airport? I know there is a airport website, but it doesn’t contact details about airport management, nor [more importantly] it doesn’t detail who owns the airport. Any information would be appreciated.

Owning land and the lease are two different things. Often for local and regional airports the council owns the land whilst a private companies operates the leasehold.

Im always wondering if something will develope from SEN, was popular in years past, charter to the Med etc. Has the runway been extended there does anyone know ?
I think there maybe a station more handy for the airport now also ?? The track runs around the edge.

It WAS owned by Regional Airports Limited, who own Biggin Hill also, but, i believe they put SEN up for sale in January.
