Can anyone comment on the orderbook of small quads?
Finnair recently received the last A340-300 liner. The A340-300 orderbook is one private jet.
The A340-500 orderbook is 11: 10 liners and one private jet.
The A340-600 orderbook is 20: 19 liners and one private jet.
So there is a total of 32 A340 orders – 29 liners and 3 private jets.
It seems that Il-96 also has an orderbook of 32. Can anyone provide a breakdown between liners, private planes and freighters?
Boeing 747 has a total of 106 orders: 20 liners (the Lufthansa ones), 6 private planes and 80 freighters.
So, there seem to be 170 small quad orders, compared to 186 A380 orders.
Are any more orders expected?

Well, compared to A380 everything else is…
Now I think of it, I forgot the dedicated freighters like An-124. What is their orderbook like?
LOL
And I suppose the A333 and B764 are to be considered small twins? They are, after all, smaller than the 773ER!

This spring, there were talks of producing more:

Any updates about that?

Huys, might I suggest that the original poster was probably refering to the small orderbook as opposed to small quads?

747-400 Length: 70.6 m
747-8 Length: 76.4 m
A340-600 Length: 75.3 m
A380-800 Length: 73 m
I take it the Lufty order is the 747-8i one? Are airlines not tending to switch to 2 enigined models now due to fuel economy and ETOPS reasons? With the exception to the A380 of course due to its capacity. Not sure where the 747-8i fits in…..

A380 is definitely shorter than an A346 and I would guess is probably shorter than a 744 as well.
I think the A380 is just a tad longer than the 744, certainly judging from the scale models…;)
