Hi All,
Apologies to the Mods if this isn’t entirely appropriate for this particular forum, but as there are some pretty well travelled people around here I was hoping someone could help!
Next Monday I have a 9 hour stopover at Sheremetyevo on my way back to Heathrow. I was wondering if someone could possibly offer me any advice on whether shooting is possible at or around the airport? I’ve been to Russia before but only passed through airports quickly, whereas here I have the chance to try do some shooting. It is possible at the or am I likely to get shot? If i’m not too likely to get shot, could anyone possibly give me some details of the best paces to go?
All help greatly appreciated. 🙂
Paul

You used to be able to photograph things from the restaraunt on the top floor of SVO-2 but the last time I was there (2006) it was plastered with no photography signs. The views from within the terminal were limited to say the least due to the increasing number of duty free shops.
You might be able to get shots from the perimeter road but this would involve a bit of a trek and security is tight at the airports. Having said that SVO was the only one of the four Moscow airports that we didn’t get lifted by the militia at in 2006 and that was with official permits to be there and to take photography.
