Roll out means nothing. The ARJ was roled out a few months ago. But the 787 was rolled out a long time ago. The 787 won’t fly any time soon though since it used fasteners from the local B&Q and the engine nacelles where cardboard. But since it was important for PR reasons to roll out at 07/08/07 (US date notation) they took desperate steps. Who knows if CAAC did something similar with their 717 ARJ.

Originally scheduled for first flight last March, has now slipped to September or October according to ACAC. Equipment testing by suppliers is given as the reason for the delay, but if the prototype has been rolled out…….?:confused:
