Monarch Airbus at PIK?

Hey All

Was down Troon beach earlier about 2000 to about 2130. There was a Monarch A319 (or 20) doing touch and goes via rwy 13. It must of done atleast about 15 that I watched as it was STILL doing them when we left.

Anyone know the reason? 🙂

It’ll of been an A320, as they don’t have any A319’s!

Prestwick is used quite extensively for crew training, it is an airport with good runway facilities (ILS etc…) but a very quiet airport movements wise, so, airlines can send an aircraft up to get some quality crew taining done without having to do circuits waiting for traffic to clear.
Air Atlantique’s Electra a VERY regular crew trainer at Prestwick.
