Carlisle airport finished??

Not sure if this is in the right forum, the plan was for the airport to be doing commercial flights…
So, Eddie Stobart has thrown their dummy out the pram after Carlisle council imposed ludicrous conditions on their plans to develop the field.. now resulting in Eddie Stobart pulling their entire business (trucking and everything)out of Cumbria to Widnes.
A good days work from Carlisle council, banishing the city’s largest source of income/investment and second largest employer in Cumbria.
Stobart Air will run the airfield for the next 3 years as per their contract, then, who knows what for Carlisle.
