In Europe this would been seen as Anti-competitive.
But i say better to merge than to lose an airline and all those tens if not hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Bad for the consumer the forming of these super airlines..it can only lead to more expensive airfares

I don’t think there are any OFFICIAL merger announcements, only talks which is a big difference.

Yes well CO-UA are also looking for the merger. If CO merge with UA i think imo that CO will leave Sky Team and go to *A becuase there is already to many american carriers in the Sky Team. DL and NW on the other hand are really strong. NW in Asia and DL in Europe and Africa so this could be a good merger
I’m sure I saw a quote by CO saying they were not seeking merger with UA as they were “in a hell of a mess”
