As of midnight last night, message on their site to that effect.
Blaming the loss of one of their a/c (hit by steps at ABZ) for several months for lost income, which has resulted in all ops ceasing.
55 jobs lost.
X9 flew ABZOSL, ABZSVG/KSU & ABZSVG/AES, the Alesund link being axed recently as the airline struggled to cope.
Apparently, the loss of this one a/c caused the TOTAL cessation of the airline, but they had 4 a/c, so I find this reasoning a tad implausible.
Perhaps of more significance was the fact that BAA impounded on of their other Dorniers at ABZ yesterday, just hours before their official announcement (a football charter to MAN).
Amazingly, the plans for a direct ABZIAH link REMAIN, as that was planned to be operated by City Star EXECUTIVE & not X9 themselves.
Sad news nevertheless – perhaps a new operator for OSL will be found, but the SVG route is saturated as it is & AES & KSU I don’t think had sufficient traffic for a direct ABZ link.
Wonder who will acquire the 4 (well, 3 currently) DO328s?

Good luck to all
Always sad to hear of an airline closure so close to one and there work force.
All the best to the ones who have lost there jobs hope someone will pick up the peices quickly.
Ref the aircraft, three companies spring to mind that might be interested.
Scotair
Blueislands might be interested down in the channel islands.
The last one would Mans 2 look at the type as they at the moment have a mix of Lets Metroliners and now D228.
