Shame, especially for the staff at this time of year – hopefully this will make the business of SiverJet and Eos just that little bit easier though

I appreciate the courteous and apologetic announcement from MaxJet, makes a change from the usual ‘ceased business messages’. This is confirmation of the rumour that they were talking to EOS earlier this month. Sad news for the employees at this time of year.

I think it was getting very competitive and distracting for the airlines given the huge competition growth. At least with loco fare wars they are bringing flights down to their most basic cost components. With these high end carriers they are having similar price wars but having to maintain a very high level of expenditure.
Obviously the likes of BA can cope for longer without as much profit but i always suspected these carriers would either fold or merge.
Give me LH biz class any day!
