Sadly the Herad is too small for what is proposed for the 1-11,beside we want a collection that represent’s Jet aircraft that paved the way for Concorde. The Herald was not a sucess on a level of the 1-11 ,146 and Trident,Concorde was indeed different in many ways.Remember the best selling British Turboprop was the Viscount.:D

European has agreed to donate the aircraft, sadly we do not have space for the Herald

To be honest, I’d far rather you saved the Herald than the 1-11

The website isn’t exactly helpful to anyone who DOES want to help:

Donations for Mike Foxtrot

DETAILS WILL APPEAR SHORTLY

Payment by Cheque
GBP (£ Sterling) cheques should be made payable to “” and sent to:

It’d also be informative to understand how much has to be raised – I don’t mind giving to worthy causes that have a finite financial objective, but I don’t tend to donate to bottomless pits.

Cal900 Hush kits are the cans fitted to the end of the Spey powerplant,to make it quieter.

Just reading the site, few questions.

What does “hush-kitted” mean?

Have Manchester agreed to take it?

It funny how a change of paint can make a plane look so modern.

Good luck to them.

And I believe there is a plan afoot to repaint her in British Caledonian colours…? That’s got to be worth chipping in a few quid for.:D
