Would the way that MaxJet are going does this suggest that a takeover is going to happen in the not to distant future or MaxJet are in finacial difficulties.

If so will an airline step in to either have MaxJet as a subsadary or completley revamp MJ and sell a/c but keep slots. The only airline that i can think would be happy to do that is LH.

If the global economy goes south next year, what future is there for this business model?

Quite a bit I’d guess as it is a way to save money on business flights (compared to BA) without losing much in terms of quality of service

I read something about this in City A.M. – but nowhere else.

If the global economy goes south next year, what future is there for this business model?

Is this problem purely for MaxJet, or could other airlines such as Eos and/or Silverjet face difficulties in the not too distant future?

Would it not be worth MaxJet’s chances to launch a new route to try and revive their chances of success, especially as they have already dropped Washington due to poor load factors…?

As we have seen, Silverjet has decided against a second route to the US in favour of Dubai, perhaps Maxjet should look elsewhere other than US-UK routes?!

Well i dont want to predict what will happen but….

They only stop trading shares if….

1. They have run out of money and can no longer continue….the next step would be an announcement from a Company person to say everything is ok befor the final bell etc etc

2. They have been approached by another party to take over the airline.

my guess is option #1, they went to there investors a few months back to ask for more capital to prop them up.
If i was a gambling man, you wont see MAXJET much beyond January 2008!
