A Virgin Blue pilot has been accused of abusing his position to enter a flight attendant’s hotel room and make unwanted sexual advances.
“You can trust me, I am your captain,” he allegedly said as he entered the attendant’s Gold Coast room.
The captain, 51, was in the Industrial Relations Commission on Wednesday over his unfair dismissal claim.
He was sacked in October for “serious misconduct”. That was seven weeks after the alleged incident.
The attendant claimed the pilot tried to kiss her, undressed and made “unwanted” advances. The pilot claimed they merely had a “mutually enthusiastic sexual engagement”.

There’s a gag in there about setting flaps to manual, but that would be highly inappropriate here…

What I don’t agree with in case like these is that the womans account is always trusted above the mans.
These days a spiteful woman has only to shout “rape” and she can ruin the life of someone who wronged her in whatever way.
Getting dismissed on a flight attendants say so is unfair. Good luck to the Captain.
