Very Ryanair but a bit cheeky in my honest opinion as they bulk up their sector times to seem longer than it actually takes. The likes of easyJet can easily do the same flight times during the week, they just do not bulk up their schedule as much as Ryanair.

I imagine its good PR by FR but it would be annoying and misleading if this became a bandwagon with other airlines jumping onboard.

Isn’t it true all UK aircraft have at least one full power take off per month.

I *think in the UK you are allowed to operate for 10m at thrust-settings over MCT, and 5m if you are in the US. Anything past that, the EGT would severely damage the turbine section.

MCT???? Is that Maximum Climb Thrust (That’s a guess)

If you used full power for more than 3 minutes (If I remember) they melt and wear out. So no 🙂

Yes ALL airlines do this even BD! :diablo:

1:05 the flight time of my flight to LHR was apparently. Took 40 minutes, and we held for 5-10 minutes so they must do 😀

ALL airlines do this. They have to factor in traffic delays etc.
