Brilliant Images. Do you know if there are any good locations for viewing low flying military stuff in or around the Loch Lomond area?
There’s a hotel over on the East bank standing all alone, get over there and well up the hill and they go past below you. Had a Jag do that to the youngest and I a few years ago and I’d left the camera with the other half 😡 FYI you’re best off about half a mile north of the hotel as the bank is steeper so it works better, that’s where we were.

Sorry i dont really know any off hand. Although if you live in that area and would like to have a go at a guide that would be good.
There will be a small section on the Scottish borders going online shortly and a bigger update o that later in the year

Great shots! As for XV being tooled up, ‘TY’ belongs to IX(B) Sqn at the moment. This is due to the GR4 trainer fleet being rotated around the various Sqn’s to prevent all of the XV jets from reaching the end of their fatigue lives before the GR4 fleet is retired.

Niiiice! Modern stuff ain’t really my thing, but I care not a damn when the photos are as fine as this! 😀
I’ll second that sentiment.

. They are GtoA’s aren’t they?
.
Yes they are ground to air pictures, sometimes if they see you they give you a wing over or a waggle . In this case he went over a little far then he straightened up then a sharp left banking turn. Shame we never saw him again.

Gotta say, the angle you’ve achieved on that Tornado is outstanding. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that angle before, especially not from a ground to air shot. They are GtoA’s aren’t they?
I’ve seen plenty of pictures of aircraft doing rolls, but not from a higher vantage point.
Outstanding.
