OW Autumn Airshow – at last, my Brownie pics

At long last I’ve got some contacts done from the two rolls I put through my Box Brownie at Old Warden’s final “do” of 2005.

Obviously 100 speed film was just too fast for the glorious conditions and a shutter speed of about 1/30th, but it’s all I had… As I may have to get them D&Ped professionally in future, I may try 25, and am currently using 50 speed.

I have no doubt at all that the professionals out there (and many others) think that I must be barking. Probably, but it keeps me off the streets…

Cor, high praise indeed given who it’s come from!

Yes, I was fairly pleased – if I could still get into the darkroom at work I might have been able to do a bit more with them, but they’ll do. I think the Jackaroo is probably the best lit and framed of the lot and those old Kodaks produce astonishingly good pictures when you consider that they are just a tin box with a piece of glass in a hole at the front.

Maybe next time we are both at OW you can have a go with my kit and I can have a go with yours? :diablo:
(something tells me I might be a bit lost – I can only just cope with the number of controls on a box camera!)

Cracking stuff, they could almost have been taken anytime in the last 50 years.

And the rest – these are a bit better, less reflection off doped canvas! Also a bit more cloud, so less bright.
