Lockheed Hudson Panel

If anyone is interested in Hudsons there is an excellent panel available via my website:

It is based on the aeroplane at the RAF Museum, Hendon.

The measurement from the leading edge of the fin to the trailing edge of the fin at the tailplane (i.e. not including the rudder) is approx 770mm so at 525mm the “chord” of your item is too short for it to be a tailplane tip. Suggest you try the folks at Temora as they have the world’s only airworthy Hudson.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for that suggestion. The straight edge is 525mm long and heavily riveted (27) and its 260mm at it widest point. The curved piece is single skin and the same on both sides. The heavy straight edge has the following making on it – 15 – 94 – ?4 REL.

Regards,

Rycot

It looks like the tip of the tailplane outboard of the fin. Is the other side the same? What is the approximate dimension along the straight edge?
