Just doing a bit of research on Heathrow and found some info regarding the parking stands after T5 opens.
T1, Star Alliance partners.
T3, Oneworld partners.
T4, Skyteam partners.
T5, obviously BA.
Where does that leave others, Virfin, Aer Lingus, Emirates, Gulf, Qatar to name a few?
I would have thought T2 but anything I can find so far suggests T2 is going to be demolished fairly soon after T5 opens.
Any thoughts or opinions welcome.

TJC, the plan changes monthly, as airlines discuss slot-swapping due to open skies (and the transitions happen over a period of three to four years).
I can’t remember off-hand where Virgin go, but at the moment the non-alliance airlines go to T4.
BA’s 757 and 767 ops are going to T3.

I was under the impression that both T1 & T2 were both going to be demolished to make way for Heathrow East! T2 will go first, then T1 will be demolished later for the second half of construction.
So was I until I read the article in the Sept/Oct issue of Airports of the World where they say thatit might not go ahead unless the row over the proposals to cap the fees.
The Airports economic regulator, the CAA, proposes to cap the amount BAA can earn on its investments at Heathrow by 6.2% before tax. It currently allows 7.75%. As a result, Rafel del Pino, Chairman of Ferrovial, the Spanish company which owns BAA, has raised doubts that Heathrow East might be built.
He told journalists: ” We have planning permission to transform Heathrow but the CAA has got to give us the incentive to do that”.
Sounds like a threat not to go ahead unless they can charge/earn more to the airlines or public using Heathrow.
