As the title suggests, I was driving to the car-park at LGW this afternoon and saw the Aviajet MD-80 take-off, and then as I rounded the corner I saw a Jet Airways A330-200 parked on a remote stand!:D
Not this particular a/c I dont think, but just to show what it looks like:
Does anyone know what each was doing at LGW today?
Do you think Jet Airways could be considering LGW as a base for more services, there are no scheduled services to India from LGW, it would be a great I think!

At a complete guess, I would imagine the Jet Airways was a divert from LHR?
I heard it was maintanence, whether that’s right I do not know :D, it actually diverted to Birmingham to begin with when it was meant to land at Gatwick.
After spending a few hours here and sorting out the various problem’s down at LGW, it finally departed there later on the same day after coming in in the morning.

Thought I would continue this thread instead of starting another one…
Yet another interesting a/c coming into LGW today:
Boeing 747-400 A6-YAS inbound from AUH
It has a call sign of ‘Abu Dhabi One’, so must be carrying someone fairly important to be granted a call-sign like that!:D
