MAXJet to go Transpacific!!!!!

Just Reading Page 18 found this in the bottom left

BUSINESS-CLASS ONLy airlines MAXJet airways has applied for the US authority to operate a non-stop passenger service between Shanghai,China and Seattle/Tacoma International Washington with an onward link to Los Angeles. The Carrier proposes to run this service daily from March 29 2009-Making this its first trans-pacific route.
“We want to bring MAXJets combination of low fares and business class comfort to china” said Bill Stockbridge CEO.”Our serivce would provide significant benefits not only to Seattle and Los Sngeles but also to travellers looking for a lower-cost option to travel comfortably across the pacific”
The airline will use its 92 seat boeing 767-200ER’S on the route

I think this is intresting as it will not only rival United’s onward connections at Natria but also China Airlines Eva Air Northwest Airlines Air Canada Korean Air and several other on the Bussines Pacific Routes. Your Thoughts!!

Edit: I thought a 767-200 extended range could do the LA-Shanghai China comfortably with if needed range to go to T’Aipei

I am pretty sure this news has already been posted before.

What I would like to know is what new routes from the UK could/should/would be considered by the all-business class airlines…as all of them currently serve the US at the moment (New York is the most popular!).

Where would a 767 be able to make travelling east instead of west?
