Active BAC 1-11s in 2007

If anyone has photographed any “active” BAC 1-11s during 2007, I would be very grateful indeed if they would send me some jpeg copies.

I would like to add them to my very comprehensive 1-11 image archive that spans the past 44 years of 1-11 operations.

Its funny how an airliner which was so familar, you could practically see a BAC 1-11 anywhere in the UK, has gone. I recall seeing at Liverpool regular Ryanair 1-11s going to and from Dublin. That was the time that they only had one route out of LPL ! I read a book a little while back about the development and eventual drop of the proposed BAC 3-11. It was to be a wide bodied twin rear mounted engined T.Tail to rival the A300. The aircraft looking like it had a lot of prospects, in the politics killed it off.

This is the first time I’ve seen a 1-11 at MAN for years
