Any idea’s of this type? If flew over Newcastle today at around 15:10. Looks like a prop but it had a distinct jet engine sound.

Blown up
Thanks for any help!

The tailplane looks too high and no anhedral on the wings.
The “high tailplane” is a false impression caused by the position of the observer – ie, below and behind the aircraft – and the reduced anhedral is due to the wings bearing their full aerodynamic load.
I agree with Sam – that says “An124” to me, too.

C-5 galaxy
Not a C-5. The C-5 is T-tailed.

Also Volga-Dnepr AN124 landed at Prestwick from Baku at 2:20pm’ish.
Could’nt have been that, it passed over after 3pm.

No it’s not a fake Newforest, taken with my Fuji S9500.
Could you post the original, the quality will be better so it might be better to identify…
It was very far away at the time. Can’t get the quality better.

I’d say the AN124. Could you post the original, the quality will be better so it might be better to identify… Also Volga-Dnepr AN124 landed at Prestwick from Baku at 2:20pm’ish.

Don’t know, hope this is not another ‘Archibaald’ stunt like he pulled a couple of nights ago on the Military thread on an aircraft identity question!
