For the 2nd time, VLM is to cease London City to Liverpool service – last service should be at the end of June. It seems that their recent cutback from 3 flights every weekday down to 2 was not able to improve the financial well-being of the service.
Odd how an aviation monopoly route between Liverpool and London cannot be sustained but they are able to increase Manchester-London City services from 8 per weekday to 9, despite all the competition they experience on the aviation Manchester-London routes.
