Boeing Tri-motor accident (Kalitta 2004)

Here is an interesting report and photos on the accident that befell the Kalitta 747 on the 20th October 2004. The 747 lost its number one engine between Chicago and New York.

Got nothing to do with the crew – they didn’t know that the engine wasn’t there until they landed.

Just goes to show what a sturdy airframe Boeing build…also a testament to the skill of the crew
