Hello!
Well this week im with MyTravel at Manchester Airport on work expierience,
and i thought id just make some of you jelous by some of the things i have and will be doing this week. :diablo: 😮 😀
Well i have been around the hanger quite a few times, at the moment, or this week, they have had/have A330-300 MyTravel Scandinavia OY-VKI currently being refitted into Skyservice for the summer with brand new seating, i did get to go onto the aircraft and have a nosey, also walked around it, really up close with it, touching it basically ! haha
A320 MyTravel Uk G-KKAZ just returned from Skyservice for the summer, currently being inspected and getting checks done before it goes back to service.
A321 MyTravel Uk G-NIKO Just having a regular inspection.
A320 Batavia Air G-JOEM, was MyTravel UK until the lease for that ran out, and now is in full Batavia Air Colours.
B757-200 Astraeus G-OAVB Engine Change, i got to have a very close detailed look at the RB-211 engine which was taken off. That departed yesterday afternoon.
Was shown how to use the flight planning system where they get all there flightplans from. Looked at all the flight operations areas etc.
Today [Thursday] i was in Cheadle, up at 4am … had to be there at 5:30am, at the flight training centre where i observed a normal training flight in the A320 Simulator, i was later on allowed to have a go, and after a very succesful landing that was done by me 😀 it was time to leave … 11am, so i finished early today,
Tomorrow [Friday] , i get up at 3am to be at the airport at 4:45am, but im not working, im going on a flight down to Palma and back, in G-DHJH A321-200, which i do belive maybe the jumpseat, as i met the captain of my flight on Wednesday, so im really looking forward to that! 😀
I met quite alot of really really friendly and warming people, including people such as the cheif pilot etc.
In my breif time with the company, i have learnt so many things that i couldnt of learnt elsewhere, just a BIG thank you to MyTravel and the people working for them, you are the kindest people i have ever met … to be honest i lost count on how many times i was asked if i wanted a cup of tea! 😀 😀

I have Spanish speaking on Tuesday at the precise time of …… 11:26 and then my first written exam ( Philosophy and Ethics: Paper 1 ) is May 17th 🙂

Sounds awesome mate glad your enjoying.
Brings back my memories of work experince and NCL last year loved it Airside for most of the day, doing a FOD inspection on the Runway etc. awesome!!

This does make me jealous. Tomorrow you get to go off flying whilst i’m stuck doing last minute prep before GCSEs start on Tuesday 🙁

Well done at getting in to aviation for work experience!
I am at the minute trying to contact my local airport (City of Derry) to find out about work experience. I sent a letter which they seemed to have ignored. Although im a bit limited when it comes to work experience as i will only be 15 when i come to do it in june!
Can’t imagine doing anything near any aircraft though. It’s verryyy quiet.
