Monarch to be based at LBA summer 2008

Jet2 need to serve more non Spanish destinations such as Cyprus,Greece maybe Turkey.

I can’t see Turkey being served, as it isn’t the most popular charter destination. Cyprus could work if on a couple of times a week service, but it is a bit far away so it’d be stretching it if they wanted to fit 2 services for one aircraft in a day.

should be a record summer passenger number wise – so not that terrible. Could be better of course, but when you have people from York driving all the way up to NCL to catch flights with Jet2 to TFS -don’t expect too much!!

This summer is terrible at LBA.

Summer 2008 brochures may well be out but I doubt all flight detials etc have been finalised.

I am sure the 2008 brochures are out now.

I very much doubt that MON or any other charter carrier will have made a decision about a new charter base for next summer. We have to get through this one first.

Specualtion can be fun and the palce would be boring without it so this is a 50/50 one for me.

Part of the fun of this website is speculation and rumour.
I am with Tommy on this one. There is no need to have automatic Tommy bashing everytime he posts. I admit I have bashed him in the past.He read the rumour and drew this conclusion.
And, so did others as the same is posted on other websites.

According to cabincrew.com im guessing they will be doing Thomson’s programme most likely using an A320 or 757.

Someone who works for Jet2 posted a rumour that Monarch would be based at LBA next summer but a Monarch employee replied saying they knew nothing of it – a little different to what you posted.
