Monarch A320's

I have two flights to choose from if i want to go to Corfu.

Monarch Airlines MON7174/5 departing 22:30 from Manchester – Corfu.

Also there is Thomas Cook Airlines TCX97L departing again at 22:30 same night.

Im unsure if MON is 320/321 and TCX is 752 or 320.

Ah but Zante/Corfu/ routes are occupied by 320/321’s Rhodes is an A300 and Kos has passed onto XL. Could Monarch be planning on using the 757’s elsewhere such as LGW and LTN.

They mainly work the charters, with most of the 320s/321s working the ZB schedules with the occasional charter flight.

Beware Tommy, if you get MRJK as your aircraft, should you get an A320, don’t expect IFE as this aircraft still has yet to get headphone sockets installed in the armrests of each seat. I had it back in October when it didn’t have them, and I came home on it today and it still didn’t have them. I’m not sure of BJ or BK, but if you get one of the normal ones, you’ll have IFE.

Should you get an A321, expect minimal legroom, as our flight out on G-OZBM (ex-BMI aircraft) had no legroom for me (I’m just over 6 foot).

Moderator Moment

That will do, gentlemen.

We all know the kind of questions that Tommy is prone to ask at this time of the year, and we are equally aware that he seldom chooses to acknowledge the help he receives from other members who take the time to assist him.

No-one is being compelled, at gunpoint or otherwise, to post on any of Tommy’s threads.

Enough said…….. I’m sure you get my drift.

Back on topic now, if you please.

Toms point was not lost on me at all, nor was it without truth, however some of the posts made in this thread, as in others Tommy has posted, are blatantly rude and patronising.

Well said, plus the opinions of some members to ‘tommyinyork’ are well known by the rest of us yet it keeps getting repeated in his threads, why do people need to input their opinion on something when there was no need too? if some people want to reply to his threads and are not concerned or bothered about a thanks so be it.

With the greatest respect, I think you and Future Pilot are missing the point of why people get annoyed. It’s quite clear to me that LBARULES’ point is simply that despite people taking the time to try post helpful responses to Tommy’s questions, there is never a ‘thankyou for your time’ or even the slightest hint of acknowledgement he appreciates what people are saying.

As someone with a deep rooted dislike of the way some people don’t seem to comprehend basic manners, it’s a very fair reason to make the odd comment pointing this out in my mind.

Paul

Thanks, Paul, that is entirely the point I intended to make. 🙂

Tommy

The MON7174/5 is currently planned to operate on a A320.

There is no TCX97L, there is a TCX95K that is currrenty planned to operate on a 757.

thank you to ringway sam, i shall hopefully get a response from flex who often gives me 100% accuracy.
To stop these questions i would love to see a manchester airport timetable with a/c type like in flightcheck magazines.

No problem, Tommy. I think for the Monarch flight you’ll most likely be on a A320 and if I remember correctly the TCX flight that followed us was deffinatly a 757.

We flew MONX outbound and MPCD inbound, both great flights and both ontime even though the rest of the MAN UK flights were delayed for some reason.

As for the flightcheck, they don’t seem very good for charters. Ours only came on FC the month we was going to Corfu!

Hope you have a good holiday!

Thanks,
Sam

Only way you can do that is by subscribing to it, which I think it about £18 a year.

Tolerant as ever guys. If Tommy’s threads bother you so much just ignore them.

I flew on G-OZBB and G-MRJK on my last holiday.

Only G-MONX has leather seats, but extra legroom seats are on the first six rows of all A320s, but these can’t be pre-booked. They get allocated at check-in (we got them on the way out as we were there early).
