How many doors do B747-800 and A380-900 have, and where are they?
B747-400 has a Boeing seatmap for 539 main deck seats. This means that any stretch of 747 leads to over 550 seats on main deck and requires sixth pair of main deck doors.
B747-400 upper deck has a Boeing seatmap for 85 seats. Now, a 400 cm stretch means adding 5 rows, which at 6 abreast means 30 extra seats… so 115. Exceeding 110, and thus requiring additional upper deck exits!
Where are those arranged?
Now, A380-800 was evacuated with 538 seats on main deck and 315 seats on upper deck. Any significant stretch means the capacities exceed 550 and 330 respectively, so A380-900 also needs additional exits on both decks. Where? The slides seem pretty crowded on the evacuation images…
