Quite surprising IMO as i thought that they would outright cancel the order . IMO UPS will in the future convert this order to the 330F or some other aircraft from boeing .

Airbus suspends work on A380F
Airbus announced today that it had suspended development of the A380F.
So I presume, UPS will freeze its order until 2010+.

According to Aviation Week, with Airbus’ concurrence, it delayed any cancellation decision for the time being.
Since UPS is now the only A380F customer, perhaps they can use this time to get the aircraft in production without the pressure of developing a separate version.
