STN to NYO – 1 week to go….

STN to NYO (Stockholm, Skavsta)

Me and 2 mates are off to watch the WRC, (World Rally Championship) in Sweden,

Flying from STN to NYO with the good old RyanAir…

Anyone done this route??

i have never done STN so thats a new one for me.. (live in West Yorks)

I know this is a daft question… Do you think this type of route will be a full flight on a Wed’s at 13:30?? i have been watching the flight prices on Ryan air and these are still at a dirt cheap price which would suggest they still need people on seats?

i have never travelled on Ryanair.. do all their fleet have the bright Yellow headrests and cabin?

Is it like Jet2 were its a free for all regarding seats??

Also i guess with this being budget there will be no IFE?

i will post a trip report upon my return..

Cheers

Just out of interest, how often would you say you had a problem with FR out of 32 times. By problem i mean any things that were not normal or delays over 40mins.

32 times here too (hmmm… rather similar to Paul), and 1 real delay, again scarily similar to Paul – he was on the same flight! That was about 2 hours on SXF-EMA.

Thanks guys for the info..

When i went with Jet2, about 4 years ago i thought it was free for all…. (thats what i remebered) however there was 20 + of us so i bet it was just free for all in the seats we were all booked on…

Thakns again for the info…

Following on from one of my questions… has any one ever been to NYO?

Cheers

It’s actually allocated seating on JET2, which is one of the reasons I like them!

You should be fine on Ryanair. They’re as basic as you can possibly get, but they have their place and if you don’t set your expectations high, you won’t be disappointed! I’ve just looked at my flight list and I’ve notched up 32 flights with them so far. Scarey!

Have a good trip!

Stansted’s a niceish airport, in comparison with Gatwick for example. However in the early morning rush it can become pretty crowded and security can sometimes be a bit of a queue, but I wouldn’t expect this to be so bad at the time you’re flying.

And just so you don’t forget what to do in the event of an emergency, there’s a safety card stuck to the seat in front of you.

Hi RickT

I’ve flown Ryanair a number of times. Most recently from DUB. I did the same as you and checked the fares a few days before to get a good idea if the flight was full but the fare had only gone up by about £10. The flight turned out to be about 2/3’s full. Ryanair fares always seem to be low unless the flight is almost full.

Most of their A/C have the new bright Yellow seats which don’t recline and have no seat pocket. The rest of the A/C have the old blue cloth seating.

Ryanair operate a free seating policy like easyjet. Passengers who have paid for preboarding board first followed by all other PAX.

No IFE available on Ryanair flights.

Hope this helps

Brgds

Richard
