Virgin Premium Economy

Hello folks, wondering if some of you can help me. I am flying with Virgin, LGW to VC Bird in Antigua in March ’07.

Am going premium economy, but have not flown with Virgin before. Does anyone know if the new bigger (wider) seats are going to be in the 747’s plying this route, by the time I go.

I have a suspicsion that only the 747’s working other routes out of LHR may have these, so far. Any news/views gratefully received.

P.S. I am then going by LIAT Dash 8 on to Tortola, which I expect to be quite interesting, as I have never been on a commercial liner smaller than a BAe 146 (no prob with small a/c as I have a PPL):)

After any current/pending refits, what will be the main differences between their Economy and Prem Economy products.
We’re looking at flying out to NYC in style, you can fly out on Maxjet for £995 in business or £725 on VS Prem Economy, which of these is the better deal?

Neil,
I am off to Miami on the 31st on business and flying premium economy, the seats are slighlty wider but the aircraft on the MIA route are A340-600 so unsure if they are the same size at the 744 seats.

Regards

Si

Dont know about the premuim economy question but. I flew VS to ANU in 2004. Service was great food was great and best part was SRB was on his way to his private island and had the decentcy to come around and shake ervey passengers hand. Overall they were great and this was in economy so premium should be super!!!
