Jet2.com 757s

Just read this on Jethros:

(GLSAF) Boeing B757-225 22689 / 117 Ex TCOGB,. Will not now be acquired

(GLSAJ) Boeing B757-225 22688 / 115 Ex TCOGH,. Will not now be acquired

Any one know why they are not been purchased?

It appears that both a/c now require too much work to get them in service. Why this wasn’t apparent before is not known. Both have been de-registered and now carry US marks (Last 3 digits of c/n No) prior to returning to the States. It is thought that the loss of these two a/c from the fleet will be covered by additional B737srs a/c. The three ex Chinese B757’s are still due.
