Yes, I know it’s old but I have been playing it again lately and I have always wanted to know what the German pilots are saying when they shoot down an enemy.
The English caption on screen is:”Air Target Destroyed”. But the German voice over has at least three different phrases that mean the same thing.
I really would love to know what they are saying?

Played almost all WWII sims starting from Microsoft’s CFS to IL2.
But this game makes me keep coming back to it.The graphics and damage modelling IMHO outstrip those of anyother WWII sim.Though that spitfire under power thingy could be rectified by a patch(lost that one when my pc crashed a while ago and have’nt been able to find it on the net either).
The most likeable thing in this sim was it’s bank of information on WWII weapon systems and that talk through tour of each featured fighter in the hangar section.

I know WWII Fighters is old, but when I look at the screen shots of today’s games and compare it to WWII Fighters I can’t help but be impressed by the older game. The damage modelling especially is superb in WWII Fighters. I still play the game sometimes, and I just wanted to get some idea of a comparison.

Ok, no one knows. But how do you guys find this compares graphically to the latest WWII flight sims?
I haven’t had a copy of this for ages but it was certainly one I enjoyed. They did however give the Spit which was a MkIX the performance and the characteristics of a MkV with the 1250hp engine. It was supposed to be the Merlin 6x series with over 1600hp! As for the graphics, like I said I haven’t played if for a long time and although I was impressed back then, I was also impressed with EAW but compare that to IL2 and it leaves me a little underwhelmed nowadays. Funny world innit? 🙂
