BMI A330 with missing winglet.

Hey guys was just browseing on flightlevel350.com and i found this video of a BMI A330 with out its right winglet.

The video appears to be quite recent so i was wondering doe any one know how she lost it?

It can fly with one missing but not both. Same for a 340 or a 744.

One would think the lack of symmetry would make her use more fuel??

It lost it about two weeks ago as it was turning onto the stand at the end of terminal three at Manchester. It cut the corner and clipped a lamp post. I am amazed that it has taken you guys so long to notice it!. It is on or should I say off, the right wing. Can’t recall the reg of the aircraft though (I don’t do reg’s)
