Anybody know what the problem is this morning at LBA?
Nothing landed as yet and 0855 arrival diverted. Many take offs delayed.
It is very cold but the sun is actually shining and it is a pleasant day.

Last nights BD096 into Belfast City was 1hr 30min delayed and had two attempts at landing. The conditions got steadily worse after that and even at the time of higest viz the aircraft could not be seen from the main road.
Conditions are not as bad yet alot of flights cancelled – one assumes due to mainland conditions.

BHD: Most flights cancelled or operating with 2-5 hour delays
BE180 diverted back to MAN but that’s not quite as bad as one of the BA services (think it may have been BA7605) which has a couple of goes at operating but diverted back both times.

Still bad in BFS
Fog still very bad in Northern Ireland. Most flights subject to major delays or just cancelled.
BFS: Most flights operating but with large delays
BHD: Most flights cancelled or operating with 2-5 hour delays
LDY: Nothing seems to have landed in LDY for about 3 days, Most flights diverting to BFS.
Don’t fancy trying to get home for Christmas this year.

Ryanair diverted both their inbound Robin Hood flights this evening to LBA. Not that you would realise from the Robin Hood arrivals board!!

BA been a pain the in rear!
If you’re wondering about the delays on BA8077…..that aircraft was delayed due to fog at MAN (operating BA2906) and then after getting back to LGW, it was allegedly meant to be operating to DUB (affected by fog)and then back to LGW for the NCL service.

Even the Liverpool v Arsenal match has been postponed – must be bad up there.
well thats my night down the pub ruined then. NCL was bad with fog yesterday, seems ok today except BA been a pain the in rear!

Visability at LPL is down to 100m, nothing even attempting to land there just diverting. There’s 3 or 4 Wizz’s at MAN at the moment!

The LPL diverts:
Ryanair => EMA
easyJet => BLK
Wizz Air => MAN
By: jonezi06 - 19th December 2006 at 18:19
Most of ryanair and easyjets what are based at LPL are on the ground at EMA. They is a wizz in hold there at moment. Going to manchester i believe

Hey all, i live 2 miles away from LBA and i put on my scanner this morning ang the ATIS sait it was 100m visability. At LBA they have CATIII ILS if that helps answering the question of why some are in and some are not!

Fog at BFS
It was Foggy Yesterday in BFS with delays/diversions/cancellations, but you only had to go 4 miles down the road and it was a clear sunny day.
However todays looks even worse most flights delayed or not operating at both BFS and BHD.
