Drawing Gauges and Panels?

Hi there, I would like to try to draw a panel and gauges for some aircraft. But where can I find software for that?
Is it difficult? Do you have to draw them pixel by pixel?

Ok, so drawing a panel won’t be a problem. But Gauges are a different thing. They need a background, and some moving thing. And switches need to be clickable. I’ve tried opening the *.GAU files with several programs, but it won’t work. Maybe here?

I use CorelDraw, much easier to learn and use than Adobe Illustrator, and early versions can be purchased for next to nothing on the web. Being vector-based, you draw lines and curves, rectangles and circles take no time at all! Repetitive items can be copied and if necessary modified (e.g. different gauge markings). Been doing it for years to illustrate Volvo bus instrument panels!
