Smoking 744's

Smokers travelling these days have a rough time lighting up in airports, with lighters banned for security reasons and smoke detectors in the toilets. Now we have an airline for those who just can’t quit the filthy habit, Smintair short for Smoker’s International Airways

SMINTAIR???

Excellent website. Looks like it was done by a schoolboy and looking at the “jobs” section, they must have no employees at the moment. Not surprising though when you read some of the website content. You would have to be seriously cuckoo to apply for a job with these fruitcakes.
I wonder if they have had an insurance quote yet. I can just imagine the conversation.
“Good morning, yes I would like a quote for third part fire and theft on six 747-400s. Pardon, no I don`t have any experience of running an airline, does that matter? Oh and all flights are going to allow smoking throughout. Click. Hello, hello is there anyone there? Must of got cut off. I`ll just finish my homework then give them a call again”.

“SMINTAIR reinstates the liberty of smoking in all seats. Non-smokers will find the cabin air more refreshing than on any other flight with any other airline, as SMINTAIR adds fresh outside air to the conditioning system! This is more expensive, as it burns more fuel, but it is seen as an additional service to our guests.”

Err… WHAT?! So all these flights I’ve done have used purely re-cycled air in the cabin? Wow… I never realised! As one of the biggest anti-smokers I know, I don’t really see how I could possibly find the air inside a metal tube with several hundred people belching out vile pollutants more refreshing than flying on another airline.

Anyway… Sarcasm aside, I think I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty Smintair will be an airline I avoid. Their poorly written website does nothing to impress me, and it blatently lies! Passive smoking is a myth? Hmm… I’m not convinced about that. No other aircraft except theirs use air from outside the cabin? They’re failing to convince me on that as well.

I first heard about Smintair a while ago, and it has to be said I actually hope this bunch of fools never make it off the ground.
