Virgin Blue Orders Embraer Jets

Embraer has announced that Virgin Blue has ordered 14 Embraer 170/190 jets. They are taking 3x E170 and 11x E190, with a further 6 unspecified options. Deliveries are to begin next August. First ones in Oz then.

What’s the source then??? nothing down here about it!

Air Transport Intelligence (www.rati.com) the online sister to Flight International. I’ve also just checked embraer.com and its there in the newsroom.

They’ve been assessing the type since the end of 2004.
