Sorry if this has being mensioned …. I was just looking on the MyTravel website and it appears that bmi will be taking over the whole Astraeus S07 programme.
I’m guessing they will be using an A320 family aircraft??
Any other information would be cool.

I would’nt worry about his comments LBARules, the person in question appears to be extremely fickle as regards airlines being in or out of favour!

Better than Astreaus. I have no hesitation on booking from LBA next summer now.
What’s wrong with Astraeus?

Ref: BMI Charters at LBA
When bmi did charters from bfs late year they config the a/c as 215 seater.
However this year bmi kept their a/c in a scheduled config with a max 195 seats.
The only down side with bmi charter flights is that there is no IFE available on any of the flights

Does anyone know if they will keep the 31″ seat pitch found on their scheduled services or will they squeeze it to a more traditional charter setup?

Who knows, lets just wait and see. Would still expect an A320.

Flight only next June to Zante is £184 return. Seems very reasonable to me. Holidays start at least £100 dearer!!

Excellent news, even if another bmi is not the best from a variety point of view!
You have a few airport codes wrong there lbaspotter, HER, ZTH and DLM are the correct ones!
Will be interesting to see what happens with Funchal, with a good few tour operators on board, and that service going direct next year!

According to bmi pilots bmi are keeping Airbus A321s for charter seasons and also they have 4 delivery slots for A321s during Q1 to Q3 2007.

If you try to book flight only with MyTravel next May from LBA to AGP is says the flight is operated by British Midland. Yesterday it still said Astraeus. Havn’t checked the schedule fully. Question is what will happen to the flights which Astraeus had which were not for MyTravel but for Thomas Cook, Atlantic holidays etc.

Looks like bmi have picked up the contract from MYT to fly the MME-REU next summer too, Flightline had it this summer, and in 2005 Eirjet had it!

Most likely an A320, the A319 will be to small and all A321s are leaving.
I hear all the A321 are off to MON after BMI? Charlieflies where did you get this info from the website I looked and cant find it  .
