Vickers Viscounts

Hi all.

Does anyone know what state the Viscounts are in at Tenerife and also has anyone got any information on G-APEY which ended up in Africa somewhere.

I have read somewhere , and I cant remember where, that a group of enthusiasts were planning to venture out to Africa and see about bringing
one of the ex parcel force Viscounts home.
Can anyone confirm this ?

It would be great to have a Viscount in the UK skies again.
